Softly Unspoken
Uncategorized — By Finally Woken on November 24, 2005 at 10:05 amSearching for a key to set an iron heart free
Looking for an answer
To wash away the hushed tears at night
It’s time to understand
The feeling beneath shadowing lashes
Tired yet still trying
Sing the same smile over and over again
Won’t let the words escape with the time
As secret sorrows cover tight lips
Won’t let the truth reveal
As if showing it has consequences
Why hold back and leave a blank
Should have known better
But no matter hard I try to keep the butterflies away
They keep crawling back
So keeping time knitting hopes and dreams
That someday the wall will disappear
And I could find the key
To open the iron heart
