Here is the selection of the best verbal slip-ups made by telly stars when they’ve been suffering from foot-in-mouth disease (article is taken from the Sun).

Racing commentator Ted Walsh: “This is really a lovely horse. I once rode her mother.”

US golf commentator: “One of the reasons Arnie is playing so well is that, before each tee shot, his wife takes out his balls and kisses them.”

A female newsreader who, the day after it was meant to have been snowing but did not, turned to the weatherman and asked: “So Bob, where’s that eight inches you promised me last night?” The weatherman – and half the crew – had to leave the studio.

Commentator David Coleman at the 1976 Montreal Olympics: “And there goes Alberto Juantorena down the back straight, opening his legs and showing his class.”
