You just listed down things I definitely DON’T miss about Australia. LOL. The topless thing, the men walking around wearing singlets and smelling like cheese (ieuw), people going barefeet (double ieuw) and the typical ignorance of some people thinking Bali is a country. Some, not all!

Hey… perhaps you could persuade Mr. McKay to move to Melbourne where the weather is cooler and the fashion is better?

Ria: it’s a bit frustrating especially after getting used to live in Aberdeen where the shops are 1 minute walk from home, and the gigantic supermarkets are 2 minute walk. But you can’t always get what you want, so I’ll live! Anyway, we should definitely catch up! I’ve got friends in South Perth as well, might be great to meet all of you altogether;)

poor thing…:) i thought so too… being in your suburb, i thought there would be IGA or even local shops that are open on sundays.

Boy: you’ve experienced some of them?

Ria: no, no IGA within miles. The closest would be in Stirling Highway, which is actually further than going to Bayview in Claremont or Floreat. I don’t understand why people think our suburb is posh, if we couldn’t even walk to buy milk and newspapers!

Hi Anita…

Don’t you have IGA in your suburb/home? I live south of the river and we have two IGA supermarket, open 7 days 7am to 8pm…plus the Brentwood village also open 7 days and their bakery and organic shop as well. Maybe you should move to another suburb…:D

I know big supermarkets like Coles and Woolies are closed on Sunday. Generally, Perth is very quiet little city especially Sunday evening around the CBD area…. Compare to Jakarta I much prefer the quiet Perth, maybe am getting very old and also weird…lol!

Rockz: if you love beach, beer, and big boobs, yes you can!

Unjaded: It’s a shame we only met for 2 minutes, because that place in Leederville is famous for its Sunday sesh. Had we met up earlier like 5 PM we would’ve seen the ’6-pack generation’ there! That’s why the CBD is always quiet, everybody goes to Leederville!
